The Sheffield Garden Walk is proud to present Cowboy Mouth as a headliner for the third time in four years, including an electrifying, jam-packed performance to close out Sunday night last year. Led by drummer Fred LeBlanc's larger-than-life presence as he sits front and center on the drum riser, Cowboy Mouth dishes up an extraordinarily intense live experience. With their roots in the Big Easy, Cowboy Mouth blends multiple rock genres with their New Orleans-style revelry to create live performances that quickly become legendary. They have shared a slice of Mardi Gras heaven with fans around the world on 11 recordings and at their renowned live shows, which to date have been witnessed by more than 8 million people. "Cake" magazine said it best when it noted: "[O]n a bad night they'll tear the roof off the joint and on a good night they'll save your soul." Their most recent CD, "Voodoo Shoppe," has won high marks from critics and fans alike.

Indigenous
Sunday, July 22nd
6 p.m.
With their edgy, rhythmic, blues-based rock, Indigenous makes their debut appearance at the SGW. The front man for Indigenous is Mato Nanji, the guitarist, singer, and songwriter. Mato formed the band with his two brothers and sister back in the late 90s. They released their highly anticipated debut album, "Things We Do," in 1998 followed by their second album, "Circle," in 2000, both of which received extensive airplay around the country and here in Chicago. While the band's growling electric blues was totally legit and truly exciting, the little family band from the Nakota Tribe of South Dakota never expected the incredible, widespread reception from the blues and rock communities. The most recent Indigenous album, "Chasing the Sun," released in 2006, finds Mato expressing himself as never before. His songs and his instrumental skill were always critical to the band's success. This album thrusts his abilities to center stage while retaining all the trademarks of classic Indigenous: explosive guitar hooks, inventive solos and inexorable sense of rhythm.
Catfish Haven
Sunday, July 22nd
3:45 p.m.
Catfish Haven is a band on the rise on the national music scene with its acoustic-fueled blues/rock/pop sound. Hailing from Chicago, IL, Catfish Haven is George Hunter (vocals/guitar), Miguel Castillo (bass), and Ryan Farnham (drums). The band describes their music as, "Soulful howling over an acoustic guitar turned way up. Hopeful yearning for better days echoed through amps and a drum kit." "Catfish Haven's blues-infused ballads and boozy trots possess equal amounts of backwoods authenticity and cosmopolitan flair. . . . They bleed metropolitan with undeniable garage-grime charm and power-pop arrangements. Hunter's worn-in croon wraps itself around lyrics with whiskey-soaked ease." - SPINCatfish Haven played the South by Southwest fest in Austin this spring. Their debut full-length CD, "Tell Me," was released in late 2006.
Big Sky Stringband
Sunday, July 22nd
2:15 p.m.
Big Sky Stringband is a Chicago-based folk-rock band that performs a broad collection of original American roots music, traditional songs, and unique covers with a bluesy, bluegrass, rockabilly feel. Founded by Jay Stanek (guitarist/vocals) and Chris Meier (mandolin/vocals), the band builds a new generation of folk-rock and jam music around its core strengths: solid songwriting and textured grooves. With Brandon Cochran (lead guitar/vocals), Dick Mallory (fretless bass), and Zach Malasto (drums), the quintet stands on the shoulders of Americana music with only the big sky above. With songs of long roads, broken fences, and train wrecks, Big Sky reflects the influences of Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Yonder Mountain String Band and The Freddy Jones Band. Their most recent CD, "Flyin' Blind," was released in 2005, followed by "Turning of the Wheel," a six-song EP, released earlier this year.
